MindWorks has been successfully running professional therapy training for over 20 years. Our courses are accredited at practitioner level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP). Principal and Lead Course Tutor
With over 18 years of experience providing therapy training in both the public and private sector, Jason is the Principal and lead course tutor for MindWorks’ Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy Practitioner Diploma course. Jason runs a thriving practice at Strelley Hall, Nottingham. He works with advanced integrated therapies to help his clients to find full, lasting resolution. Jason specialises in working with clients with a history of trauma and abuse. He is also a PICT (Parks Inner Child Therapy) Trainer and Practitioner, a therapy supervisor and a trainer for other therapists wishing to become supervisors. Jason is a Fellow member of the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) and holds Senior Practitioner status with the General Hypnotherapy register.
Kate qualified as a hypnotherapist with MindWorks in 2009 and is a Senior Accredited Member of the National Council of Psychotherapists and holds Senior Practitioner status with the General Hypnotherapy Register. She launched her own hypnotherapy and psychotherapy practice, ‘Freedom Therapy’ in January 2010 and thoroughly enjoys working from her two thriving clinics in Nottinghamshire. Kate is also a PICT Practitioner, an accredited therapy supervisor and offers individual and group supervision, as well as delivering specialist weight management courses in both singular and group settings. Kate’s further training includes Emotional Freedom Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
In addition to her busy Nottingham practice, Vera has over 25 years of experience of working within the NHS as a clinical nutrition and dietetic specialist. A while ago she decided to broaden her knowledge and skills in a complementary area to become a qualified hypnotherapist in private practice. Vera specialises in working with people who want to better manage their gut related problems e.g. IBS, in a more natural way and those individuals who wish to take a non diet related approach to weight management and health. Vera is also a PICT Practitioner. She has had a keen interest in education and training for many years and continues to enjoy the experience of working with students and trainees both within the NHS and in the field of hypnotherapy.
Sue runs a busy hypnotherapy practice in Derbyshire. Sue is a qualified Family Support Worker and Nursery Nurse with over 20 years experience of working with children and families on a range of issues from sleep to teenage issues. Sue has previously worked within the local authority, voluntary sector and the NHS. She has a special interest in using hypnosis and NLP techniques with children and young people, and is a Hypnotherapy in Schools Practitioner.
After training as a lecturer in Psychology and working in further education for anumber of years, Barrie pursued a qualification in hypnotherapy through MindWorks. He now runs a successful therapy practice and works with clients with myriad issues such as emotional problems, unwanted behaviours and confidence issues. Barrie has developed a special interest in pain management and relaxation for chronic pain issues, as well as helping clients who have experienced abuse either in childhood or later life as a PICT Practitioner.
